Vision pt 1 Correcting your Vision

Proverbs 29:18

Where there is no vision, the people perish

Correcting your Vision

Vision.  It is what you see. It is the act of anticipating that which will or may come to be.  We hope for 20/20 vision. We hope we have the right vision.

We have a vision for our life, for our family, for our ministry.  If I were to ask right now what is your vision, what would you say?  Do you have one?

I think the most important aspect of our vision is making sure it is correct. We can clarify a correct vision, and we can cast a correct vision.  Step one is to correct your vision.

I wear glasses.  If I do not wear my glasses, I cannot see much.  I can make out larger familiar objects, and I can only read if I squint and hold the paper super close to my face.  Sometimes I have to turn my head sideways and close one eye and I can read a little.  Needless to say, my vision needs to be corrected.  That is why I wear glasses.

It is the same with our big vision.  Vision for life or ministry.  Sometimes your vision needs to be corrected.  What are you seeing or anticipating for your future?

Your vision might need to be corrected if:

  1. If you are at the center of your vision (it’s not about you)
  2. You can’t see very well  (you have to turn your head sideways to dream about the future)
  3. Cant see at all
  4. Insert your reason her

My vision is corrected with glasses.  They act as a lens or a filter that I look through that corrects what I see.  If your vision needs to be corrected try a pair of Jesus glasses.  Filter what you see through him, and you should start to see better.   Make him the center, and other things will come into focus.

I’d like to hear how you make sure you are on track with your vision.  What is your vision?  Leave a comment and let me know.
